our favorite month is closing in and we have a lot events planned in honor of ‘louisville is for lovers 2009′

WED. FEBRUARY 11TH at 8pm we are having the LOUISVILLE IS FOR LOVERS 2009 ACOUSTIC SHOWCASE at THE LOUNGE in butchertown at wenzel and madison. 21+

FRI. FEB. 13TH NOON is our annual LIVE LUNCH at WFPK RADIO. a live broadcast  featuring 7 bands from the comp playing live on one stage in one hour. it’s an amazing sight to witness.  it’s free if your around 4th street, or tune into 91.9 fm. if your outside the louisville area, find it streaming live at wfpk.org. 

SAT. FEB. 14TH VALENTINES DAY 8PM at SKULL ALLEY. for the first time the LOUISVILLE IS FOR LOVERS SHOWCASE will be all ages (don’t worry, booze available with i.d.) THE MACK, TENEIA SANDERS, THE LADYBIRDS, DEER MEET, and THE DELOREANS all for a mere $5. 

vol.9 has all exclusive love songs by many great louisvillians including BONNIE ‘PRINCE’ BILLY & CHEYENNE MIZE, WHISTLE PEAK, THE MACK, TENEIA SANDERS. pre order now, to get the full length bonus disc with songs by ULTRA PULVERIZE, TAMARA DEARING, THE TROPHY WIVES and many more. (only 100 copies printed, half already gone).

backseat sandbar is hosting a contest in honor of the CD release, they are giving away a copy of vol.9 with the bonus disc, show poster, and of corse entrance to the SKULL ALLEY SHOWCASE. click here to sign up.
