ROCK N’ ROLL BALLET 6/11

We are very excited to announce our upcoming event: ROCK N’ ROLL BALLET with performances by The Deloreans, Whistle Peak, and the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble on friday june 11th at the New Albany Amphitheater. This Promises to be a unique, once in a lifetime performance, with all original choreography to some of Louisville’s best ‘get down’ artists.

this performance is absolutely FREE and open to the public (so there is no reason not to venture to Louisville’s neighborhood to the north), and will be during the the 2010 GAS (Glass Art Society) Conference so New Albany will be filled with Glass Sculptures and tours. Louisville Glass Artist, John King will have a retrospective reception that day 5-9 pm at the River City Winery, 123 Spring st. with wine tastings too, for you free drinkers.

we would like to thank everyone who came out Friday to The Glassworks rooftop Dual album release. it proved to be a wonderful evening, complete with a classic sunset over the Ohio River. Roadie and Cheyenne Marie Mize kicked off the night with a wonderful set, followed by the Louisville mainstay, The mack. Jeff Shelton played a fantastic acoustic set of “Lazy Bones“. Cheyenne joined the stage again with Saredren Wells, for a lively interpretation of “To Live In Dreams and Memories”. both albums are available now. more pictures at 37flood.com.

now that our responsibilities have eased up a little bit, we have decided to take on a little more… our friends at 37flood.com music news and information site have asked us to help post information on local music news, and we have happily excepted. they have done so much to help us get the word out on LOUISVILLE IS FOR LOVERS releases and events, we are honored to reciprocate. please check 37 flood for updates on louisville releases and event information, and please let us know about events and musicians you would like us to write about.

and speaking of what we’re up to now, some people are pissed that we have sown up the valentine’s series, and you should be. but we are not closing up shop, you can expect more high quality compilations and releases from us. but the way you people want your music has changed, and limited edition discs aren’t it. so, it’s time to see if we can deliver high quality goods, without going broke in the process. but first we’re gonna take a nap, and then we’re gonna plan out the 6th annual ZOMBIE ATTACK on 8/29/10, and hopefully by then we’ll know what were doing.
