our friends at Sophomore lounge Records are putting together a regional music festival next weekend oct. 2 & 3 at The American Turner’s Club on River rd with over 40 bands including some of Louisville is for lovers favorites including: Phantom Family Halo, National Geographic, and sapat. and to help spread the word we are giving away a pair of tickets, just leave a comment or send an email to louisvilleisforlovers@gmail.com by tuesday with “cropped out tix” in the title for your chance to win. winner will be announced on Wednesday.

Just recently Librarian Scott Condra at the main Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library began a local music collection for Louisvillians to check out, and asked us for a hand. so, this week we donated many of our releases to help the cause. The local section already has some great ‘must haves’ from the Louisville is for Lovers family including Whistle Peak’s first Album and many others. so head on down to the main branch and look for the local music section…

it has taken us way to long to compile all the video and photos to map out and count ZOMBIE ATTACK 2010, but with record numbers there was a lot to review.
after carefully reviewing the footage, our top scientists have concluded that on 8/29/10 at 9pm there were 5,400 zombies within the barricade on Bardstown RD. with a conservative estimate of 6 thousand total!
we would like to thank everyone who came out to help us break the world record (previous record: 4K) we will dot our I’s and cross our t’s and send our findings to the Guinness Book of World records, and hopefully we have met their guidelines, and met their counting requirements.

on August 28th, the night before Zombie Attack, we are having a Zombie Double Feature and Meet & Greet at Bearno’s on Bardstown RD. the Movies will start at 8pm, it is free and all ages (though please be advised, they are rated R films). in between movies we will be raffling off 2 tickets to Dracula at Actor’s Theatre and a Dawn Of The Dead DVD Collector’s box from Wild and Woolly Video. read more about Zombie Attack and the Zombie Movie Night here.
